Pennsylvania Route 199
Pennsylvania Route 199 (PA 199) is a state highway located in Bradford County in Pennsylvania. The southern terminus is at U.S. Route 220 (US 220) near Athens. The northern terminus is the New York state line in Sayre, where it connects to New York State Route 34 (NY 34) and an interchange with Interstate 86 (I-86)/NY 17. PA 199 runs north–south through the Penn-York Valley communities of Athens and Sayre, following Main Street in Athens and Keystone Avenue, Mohawk Street, and Spring Street in Sayre. The section of PA 199 between the southern terminus and the intersection of Keystone Avenue and Mohawk Street in Sayre was designated as part of US 711 when the U.S. Highway System was created in 1926, being renumbered to US 220 a year later. Lehigh Railway
The Lehigh Railway is a shortline railroad in Wyoming County and Bradford County, Pennsylvania. It connects to the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad in Mehoopany and to Norfolk Southern in Athens, just south of Sayre. It operates a total of 56 miles of track along the Susquehanna River. Since 2020, the railroad has been operated by the R.J. Corman Railroad Group as its Lehigh Line. The railroad was formed in 2009 to lease and operate Norfolk Southern's Lehigh Secondary from Mehoopany to Athens, which is the northern branch of the LV Main Line from Wilkes-Barre to Sayre. This is not to be confused with NS's Lehigh Line, which runs from Manville, New Jersey, to M&H Junction, Pennsylvania, via Allentown, Pennsylvania. Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania
Tunkhannock is a borough in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, 31 miles (50 km) northwest of Wilkes-Barre. In the past, lumbering was carried on extensively. Waverly is the largest village in Tioga County, New York, United States. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, Waverly had a population of 4,177. Pennsylvania Route 42
Pennsylvania Route 42 (PA 42) is a state route located in central Pennsylvania. The southern terminus of the route is at PA 61 in Centralia. The northern terminus is at U.S. Route 220 (US 220) in Laporte. The route heads north through Columbia County and passes through Catawissa before it crosses the Susquehanna River to Bloomsburg. In Bloomsburg, PA 42 forms a concurrency with US 11 and has an interchange with Interstate 80 (I-80). Past Bloomsburg, the route continues north through Millville and runs through the eastern part of Lycoming County. PA 42 heads into Sullivan County and runs concurrent with US 220 between Beech Glen and Muncy Valley before it loops west through Eagles Mere and reaches its terminus in Laporte. Towanda is a borough and the county seat of Bradford County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
